Nicholas Cliffe,
Director
Nicholas, originally from East Yorkshire, earned an economics degree from Cambridge University. He became a chartered accountant in 1986 after training in London. Nicholas founded his own practice in Melbourn in 1991, which became a limited company in Great Shelford in 2002. He specialises in tax planning, corporate finance, and business development, and has over 20 years of experience in general accountancy. Additionally, he works as a consultant field auditor for several investment banks. Outside of work, Nicholas is passionate about cricket, playing, coaching, and umpiring, and holds board positions with local cricket associations.
Alison Brown,
Payroll bureau and office manager
Alison is a key member of the team, expertly managing the payrolls for about 75 clients, from individual directors to a small chain of shops with around 50 employees. She ensures that all clients meet their Automatic Enrolment duties for workplace pensions. Alison also contributes to office management and accounts work. When you call our office, it’s likely Alison who will greet you! Born in Cambridge and raised in Royston, Alison started her career as an administration assistant in a North Hertfordshire practice. There, she earned her AAT qualification and discovered her passion for payroll.
